“YEREVAN–transit” was a music project featuring “non-Armenian” artists, who performed Armenian songs solo or in duet with Armenian singers in Armenian language. The project was peculiar for the way of performing: one verse or refrain of each song was performed in the mother tongue of the foreign performer. The project covered diverse genres: Armenian pop music, hits of 70-80s, folksongs, love songs, etc. There have been five “Yerevan-Transit” projects so far, four of which were “Yerevan-Moscow” and one “Yerevan-Kiev” The participants of Yerevan Transit were Laima Vaikule, Vladimir Presnyakov, Leonid Agutin, Angelika Varum, Soso Pavliashvili, “UmaTurman”, “A-Studio”, “Moral Codex”, Valeri Syutkin, Ioshif Kobzon, Nadezhda Babkina, Alexander Buinov, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Sergey Penkin, Comedy Club, VIA “Slivki”, “Otpetie Moshenniki”, Svetlana Loboda, Tina Karol, Potap&Nastya Kamenskikh, “Via Gra” and many, many others.
