Gala concert of the XVII International Summit of Francophonie

On October 11, a gala concert with the participation of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra was held in the Republic Square of Armenia in the framework of the 17th Summit of the Francophonie in Armenia. The concert presented Armenian composer's art and featured an excerpt from Aram Khachaturian's Symphony No.2, "Sabre Dance" in jazz adaptation, "Masquerade", as well as an excerpt from Avet Terteryan's Symphony No.3 and an excerpt from Edward Mirzoyan's symphony.

The program also included performances of the national dance Uzun Daran and Dance of the Fisherman from the ballet "Sevan" by Grigor Yeghiazaryan.

The symphonic orchestra also performed the dance melody "Kochari". "Dle Yaman" was performed by Maestro Jivan Gasparyan. Along with Armenian performers, popular French singer ZAZ and other foreign musicians appeared on stage. The final part of the concert was entirely dedicated to the memory of the world-famous singer-lyricist Charles Aznavour.
